About Us
It might surprise you to learn that, most of the time, we fail not because of a lack of training, money, opportunity, know-how, skill or motivation. The thing that holds us back is, generally speaking, our emotions - or at least our ability to process them. When our emotions are running the show, we aren’t rational, we make poor decisions and end up with poor outcomes.
The name How to be a Human came about because we realise the importance of remembering that we and those we interact with are humans. It is our relationship with ourselves and our relationships with others that determine our success.
Having mastery of our emotions allows us to communicate clearly, respond rationally, stay true to our values and to lead others in a constructive and enrolling way. It also makes us masters at conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation, listening… and the list goes on.
